How we verify and process reviews

We use the Shopify app "Product Reviews" to give our customers the opportunity to write a product review.

We will temporarily hold the publication of submitted reviews until we verify that they do not contain illegal language, vulgar or violent language, or are not fake. We will not publish reviews that contain illegal language, vulgar or violent language, or are fake.

We verify reviews submitted directly on our website based on the email address and name entered. We compare this information with the order data and can thus filter out unauthorized reviews or approve legitimate reviews. Furthermore, we may verify reviews submitted directly through our website using appropriate and proportionate methods, for example, by requesting valid proof that the customer has actually used or purchased the product.

Reviews can also be imported from an external source. The source of the imported reviews is displayed next to the date of the review (e.g., "from Amazon Germany").

We use the "Helium 10" browser extension to import Amazon reviews. The reviews are exported, converted into the correct format using a text editor, and then imported using Shopify's "Product Reviews" tool and displayed on our website. The authenticity of these reviews is guaranteed, as Amazon only allows product reviews from actual buyers. Thus, these product reviews are also verified.

General: Customers can choose how they want to rate the reviewed products by entering a number between 1 and 5. The average rating of the reviews is calculated using a simple mathematical average, which is then rounded to half or whole stars according to the usual rounding rules.
